Ok, so Fall quickly left and winter is fast approaching. It is cold outside, high 32. I had no other title for this blog so figured I would start with this.
The holiday buzz has worn off and I am excited about routine and normalcy coming close. Christmas was great and the girls were too precious. After Hope fully woke up (we had to wake her ourselves and it took a couple of minutes for her to get excited) she was so cute looking at everything. Especially the crumbs left from Santa and the carrot trail in the chimney left by Rudolph. Hailey on the other hand was pricely, she looked at Santa's gifts and then asked for cookies herself. She sat with Steven as she ate and watched Hope look at both piles of gifts.
This is what Christmas is about. The innocence of a child and the celebration of Jesus' birth which has allowed us to have a vacation day and spend time with our loved ones. It's too bad we get caught up in the rush and stress of too little time and what to get others. Next year, I am setting a limit on what I get everybody. Oh wait, I say that every year. Next year, I will start early and hopefully stress less. The good news is after all said and done, we still have tomorrow. Someone asked me before Christmas, "are you ready for the holidays?" I replied, "NO, but no need to stress because it is coming whether I am ready or not."
Thankfully, Christ's love for us is just the same, no need to stress, it is always here for us and ready for us whether we are prepared or not. Doesn't that feel good, unconditional love? Where else can we find that? I hope everyone reading this finds unconditional love, less stress and enjoys precious moments spent with loved ones.
